Plans to turn Bonita Springs Greyhound Race Track into amusement park
According to NBC2, a plan is in the works to turn the Bonita Springs Greyhound Race Track into an amusement park.
The amusement park would be called “Adrenaline World,” and would be for the soon to be demolished grandstand building of the former Naples Fort Myers Greyhound Race Track off Bonita Beach Road.
The proposal is for the developer to lease about 20 acres of land from the owners of the dog track and poker room. The whole project would cost about $30 million and while there aren’t too many specifics yet, some local businesses are encouraged.
The developers are expected to sign a lease for the property some time next week. As for the dog track’s demolition, the owners said the building will be completely gone by the end of next month.
Already on site are the Brass Tap
and the Poker Room
